Job summary

Heineken UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the bottling and packaging lines on a permanent basis. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to keep production running smoothly, with opportunities to lead RCA, safety initiatives and lean improvements.

You will work within a highly automated environment, diagnose faults, and collaborate with operators to maximise line reliability.

Qualifications

• Near/full completion of Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (HND or NVQ Level 3) OR time served as Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias).
• Experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment; familiarity with high-speed packaging lines is advantageous.
• Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and reactive maintenance to address defects, losses and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement countermeasures including safety tagging and 5S activities.
• Drive TPM initiatives to reduce losses and promote lean practices.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with colleagues to maximise production reliability.
• Support shop-floor operators and guide tasks to maintain smooth production.
• Collaborate on autonomous maintenance tasks and assist shift managers with asset issues.
• Record non-conformities in CMMS to support continuous improvement.
