Job summary

Brewpoint is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in Bedford to keep our brewery operating safely, efficiently and reliably. You will work across brewing, cellaring, packaging and distribution teams, performing preventative maintenance and resolving faults to minimise downtime.

The role operates on a rotating three-week shift 6am–10pm and offers a competitive salary with benefits. If you’re proactive, collaborative and have hands-on experience with brewery utilities and maintenance

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Engineering qualification or recognised engineering apprenticeship completed.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment or effluent systems.
• Collaborative, cross-department working style.
• Willingness to support production, breakdowns, projects and seasonal demand.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across brewery, utilities and distribution equipment.
• Diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns and support repairs to minimise downtime.

At Brewpoint, we're passionate about brewing great beer and delivering exceptional service to our customers. We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our brewery operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

This isn't a traditional engineering role. You'll work closely with our Brewing, Cellaring, Packaging and Distribution teams, playing a key part in improving equipment performance, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the brewery. You'll also have the opportunity to get hands-on with production operations when required, making a real impact on the success of the business.

Based in BEDFORD, this role requires a rotating three-week shift pattern between 6am-10pm to provide maintenance and process support across both production shifts:

Position:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across brewery, utilities and distribution equipment.
• Diagnosing faults, responding to breakdowns and supporting repairs to minimise downtime.
• Working alongside production teams to improve reliability, efficiency and performance.
• Supporting sustainability initiatives to reduce water, energy and effluent consumption.

Requirements:

What we are looking for:

• Multi-skilled engineering experience within an FMCG, manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• An engineering qualification or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience working with maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of utilities such as steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment or effluent systems.
• A positive, flexible approach and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Flexibility to support business-critical production activities, breakdown response, project work and seasonal demand where required.
