Job summary

Brewpoint is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in Bedford to keep our brewery operating safely, efficiently and reliably. You will work across brewing, cellaring, packaging and distribution teams, performing preventative maintenance and resolving faults to minimise downtime.

The role operates on a rotating three-week shift 6am–10pm and offers a competitive salary with benefits. If you’re proactive, collaborative and have hands-on experience with brewery utilities and maintenance

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Engineering qualification or recognised engineering apprenticeship completed.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment or effluent systems.
• Collaborative, cross-department working style.
• Willingness to support production, breakdowns, projects and seasonal demand.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across brewery, utilities and distribution equipment.
• Diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns and support repairs to minimise downtime.
• Work with production teams to improve reliability, efficiency and performance.
• Support sustainability initiatives to reduce water, energy and effluent usage.
• Investigate recurring issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance activities.
• Ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Provide operational support during peak production periods.
