Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for our Northampton Brewery. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and covers maintenance, optimisation and reliability of production assets.

Expect a 42-hour week on a 4 on/4 off rotating shift pattern, with a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary. You will work across mechanical and electrical maintenance, perform fault diagnosis, support safety and CBM records, and mentor apprentices while driving continuous

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on CBM experience; CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• System optimisation — Work with engineering teams to improve performance, reduce downtime and drive technical improvements.
• Mechanical & electrical maintenance — Diagnose and repair faults using advanced tools and techniques.
• Safety & compliance — Ensure full adherence to LOTO, electrical safety and environmental standards, maintaining detailed CBM records.
• Infrastructure support — Maintain site utilities and electrical distribution systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Team collaboration — Partner with production teams and mentor apprentices, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lean practices — Support 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
• Condition monitoring — Conduct vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and other predictive maintenance activities.
