Job summary

Refresco Bridgwater in Somerset is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production running at peak capacity. You’ll diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and control faults across packaging lines and processing systems, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance.

The role offers a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern (days/nights), with a 24/7 shift pattern and an average of 42 hours per week, contributing to a dynamic, safety-focused production environment.

Qualifications

• L3 engineering qualification or time served.
• Multi-skilled background with bias toward one area.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control faults.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on pallet wrappers, conveyors, packaging machines and other line equipment.
• Support plant improvements and projects to improve site efficiency.
• Work closely with Engineering Team Leader to deliver high-quality service.
• Ensure the factory is kept running at peak capacity.
