Job description

Have you got the right tools for the job? Platform Property Care need an experiencedMulti Skill Trades Carpenter based in Skegness and the surrounding area to join our talented Voids team and help us ensure our customer's homes are refurbished to our Lettable Standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Operative and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is essential, as you will be delivering Multi Trade refurbishment within a Voids environment.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way.It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

  • Basic salary up to £37,845 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications (additional can be earned from voluntary overtime and out of hours).

What we expect from you

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right the first time.

Qualifications and experience
  • NVQ L2 Carpentry.
  • Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi‑skilled Carpenter.
  • Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council, delivering multi‑trade repairs and maintenance.
  • Associated trade skills, and or qualifications in plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling would also be desirable.
  • Experience of delivering multi‑trade work.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Experience of keeping jobs on track.
  • The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently.
  • Good IT skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
  • Full current valid driving licence essential as this is a mobile role.
  • As you will be working within customers' homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role is based with our team in the Louth area, so you will need to live locally. As the role is mobile, a current, valid driving licence is essential. Unfortunately, we cannot progress applications from candidates without this.
