Job summary

Scotsman Group is seeking an Area Operations Chef to support kitchen teams across multiple sites. You will provide hands-on operational support, mentor staff, help develop menus, and ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards while maintaining high quality.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in high-volume multi-site operations, flexibility to travel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in high-volume, multi-site operations.
• Strong leadership to motivate kitchen teams and ensure consistency across sites.
• Willingness to travel across locations and adapt to different sites.
• Passion for food, innovation, and high standards of quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills for multi-location operations.
• Relevant culinary qualifications and food hygiene certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operational Support: provide hands-on support to kitchen teams across various locations, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and service.
• Training & Development: mentor and train kitchen staff to meet Scotsman Group standards.
• Menu Development: assist with creation and implementation of new menus aligned with trends and customer preferences.
• Compliance & Safety: ensure kitchens adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene standards with regular audits.
• Problem Solving: address and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruption to service.
• Team Collaboration: work with Head Chefs, General Managers, and Area Managers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
