MRICS Building Surveyor, Expert Witness, Part-Time Flexible Role

Location: Across Yorkshire (Remote Working) | Out of scope of IR35

About the Company

A North West-based consultancy with a national presence is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team on a flexible, part-time basis. The role involves working across Yorkshire, primarily within the residential sector as an Expert Witness.

Role Responsibilities

1. Conduct 3–4 surveys per week, scheduled in advance by the central team.
2. Travel within the region from Lincoln to North Allerton to complete site surveys.
3. Prepare detailed reports based on survey findings and submit through the designated portal.

Candidate Requirements

1. MRICS Chartered status.
2. Previous experience as an Expert Witness.
3. Valid driving license and ability to travel across Yorkshire.
4. Own Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance, as the role is out of scope of IR35.

Compensation and Benefits

Payment per survey, with 90% of surveys exceeding £1,000 and 10% below £1,000, reflecting a higher rate for most surveys.
