Job summary

Xtrac is a leading Motorsport and High-Performance Transmission specialist based in the United Kingdom. We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer (MDG) to deliver production engineering solutions, perform CAD/DFM input, and approve manufacturing methods for Make-To-Print components.

You will set standards, manage tooling drawings, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement while expanding your skills in Motorsport transmissions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a production engineer.
• HNC/HND in engineering or manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of rotating steel components and transmission assemblies.
• Proficient reading and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Experienced with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
• Ability to provide DFM guidance to customers.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain production engineering standards.
• Check and approve drawings of tooling and manufacturing methods.
• Manage Make-To-Print projects from pre-quotation to delivery.
• Maintain the gear ratio library for Motorsport and HPA.
• Support continuous improvement of processes and knowledge transfer.
• Mentor and develop team members through reviews.
