Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We are looking for Motor Claims Handlers to join us during an exciting period of growth. In this fast-paced role, you will investigate liability, determine claim progression, and support the recovery of charges. You’ll work across the claims lifecycle, liaising with car body repairers, insurers, and brokers while keeping customers updated via phone and email.
You will be part of a busy and fast-paced department responsible for supporting customers involved in road traffic accidents, regardless of fault. Your role involves communicating with customers through verbal and written means, discussing their options whether their vehicle is repairable or has been deemed a write-off.
This role requires applying technical knowledge to assess liability in both fault and non-fault accidents. You’ll provide outstanding customer service by keeping clients informed about their claims and managing discussions with brokers and insurers. We offer 4 levels based on experience, some exposure to claims handling, liability assessment, credit hire, and personal injury is desirable.
Motor – Claims Handler CH1: Entry level. No previous claims handling experience required. Manage a portfolio of customer claims including repair and total loss.
Motor – Claims Handler CH2: Experienced in dealing with customer claims, credit hire, third-party property damage, recoveries, and personal injury via the OIC and portal.
Motor – Claims Handler CH3: Significant experience with customer claims, credit hire, third-party property damage, recoveries, and personal injury via the OIC and MOJ portal. Excellent knowledge of motor-related caselaw.
Motor – Claims Handler CH4: Extensive experience with high-value and complex claims, including credit hire, third-party damage, recoveries, personal injury up to £100k, and knowledge of motor caselaw including Scottish and Northern Irish law.
