Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in West Sussex is seeking an experienced MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician for a structured role at our Lindfield/Haywards Heath area workshop. You will perform MOT tests in the mornings and switch to general servicing and repairs in the afternoons, all while enjoying a permanent four-day week with Fridays off.

The ideal candidate holds a DVSA MOT Smart Card, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent hands-on experience), has a full UK driving licence,

Qualifications

• DVSA MOT Smart Card / Tester qualification.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
• Experience with MOT tests and general servicing.

Responsibilities

• Salary: Up to £43,000 basic per annum (pro-rata equivalent paid for a 4-day week)
• Hours: 4 Days a Week, Monday to Thursday — EVERY FRIDAY OFF & STRICTLY NO WEEKENDS

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician for a unique, structured role at our West Sussex workshop. You will handle MOT tests during the morning sessions and transition to general servicing and mechanical repairs in the afternoons—all while enjoying a permanent 4-day working week with Fridays completely off.

Requirements

• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card / Tester qualification.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Strong proficiency in routine servicing, MOT repairs, and general mechanical fault-finding.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.
