Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a busy, modern workshop in Haywards Heath. You will handle servicing, repairs, and fault diagnostics while working in a friendly, supportive team environment.

Full training and funding for an MOT Tester Licence are provided. The role offers a structured career path, Monday–Friday hours, and a focus on quality workmanship with minimal weekend work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Strong skills in general servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• MOT Smart Card is a plus, but full training and licensing will be funded for the right candidate.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

• Handle general servicing, repairs, and fault diagnostics in a busy, modern workshop.
• Perform routine servicing and MOT-related tasks with accuracy.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs to vehicle systems.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:30 (NO WEEKENDS | 30-min lunch + two 15-min tea breaks daily)
• Perks: 28 days holiday (20 + 8 bank holidays), extra holiday days awarded for high achievers, pension, free on-site parking
• Training: Full support & funding to complete your MOT Tester Licence
