Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced MOT Tester for a Monday to Friday role in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards, perform Class 4 and 7 MOT tests, and support the workshop team.

You're offered a salary of circa £32,000 with 33 days holiday including bank holidays, sick pay, and staff discounts in a modern, well-equipped dealership with a stable, long-term career path.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 4 & 7 MOT Licence.
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician with MOT Licence.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence; right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 4 & 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying repair requirements.
• Diagnosing faults relating to brakes, suspension, steering and exhaust systems.
• Carrying out minor repairs where required.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standard.
• Maintaining accurate workshop documentation.
• Working closely with the workshop team to deliver excellent customer service.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you'll play a key role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest safety and compliance standards while supporting the workshop team with inspections and repairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
