Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced MOT Tester for our Nottingham client. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary up to £37,000 OTE and a supportive, modern workshop environment.

You will carry out Class 4 & 7 MOT tests, complete documentation, and advise customers on repairs. A full UK driving licence and DVSA MOT tester approval are required, with strong attention to detail and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• DVSA-approved MOT Tester with Class 4 & 7 authorisation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a busy workshop or autocentre.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 & 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Complete MOT documentation accurately.
• Identify and report vehicle defects.
• Advise customers on repairs and maintenance.
• Support workshop operations when required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and safety.

A long-established automotive group is expanding across Nottingham and is looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join their growing team. With new sites recently opened and continued investment in people, training and facilities, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants stability, development and a positive workshop culture.

Working Hours

• Monday Friday: 08:30 17:30


• Saturday (bi-weekly): 08:30 13:00


• No Sundays or Bank Holidays
