Job summary

Arnold Clark in Inverness is seeking an MOT Tester to join our Citroën/Peugeot branch. You’ll perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and help ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.You’ll work with a skilled team, receive training to become EV‑accredited, enjoy flexible hours and generous leave, plus benefits including private healthcare, sickness cover, and salary progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician - Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (Level 3 preferred).
• DVSA Tester Certification and full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in MOT testing and vehicle inspection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identify defects and determine roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and provide customer advice.

About The Role

As an MOT Tester, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands‑on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

Day-to-day duties

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures
• Keeping up to date with current MOT testing guidelines and best practices
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical advice

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Technician - Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred)
• Experienced & Skilled - Solid background in an MOT testing role
• DVSA Tester Certification
• Team Player - Able to work efficiently alone or with colleagues
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Detail-Oriented - Committed to delivering high-quality work
