Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Inverness is hiring an MOT Tester for our Citroen/Peugeot branch. You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards, identify defects, keep precise records, and provide clear technical and customer guidance.

We offer competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000 DOE), overtime at time and a half, 33 days leave, flexible hours, EV‑accredited training, private healthcare, staff discounts, and annual salary reviews. A full UK driving licence and DVSA tester certification are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician – Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred).
• DVSA Tester Certification.
• Strong customer service and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures.
• Keeping up to date with MOT testing guidelines and best practices.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections.

As an MOT Tester, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands‑on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

Day-to-day duties

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Technician – Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred)
• Experienced & Skilled – Solid background in an MOT testing role
• DVSA Tester Certification
• Team Player – Able to work efficiently alone or with colleagues
• Full UK Driving Licence
