Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Greenock seeks an MOT Tester to join our East Hamilton Street branch. You’ll perform MOT tests, spot defects, and advise customers while working with a skilled team using the latest automotive technology.

Qualified Technician with Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (Level 3 preferred) and DVSA Tester Certification is required, plus a Full UK Driving Licence. We offer generous leave, private healthcare, and performance bonuses.

About the role

As an MOT Tester, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands‑on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

Day-to-day duties

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures
• Keeping up to date with current MOT testing guidelines and best practices
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical advice

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Technician – Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred)
