Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd represents a fast-growing UK automotive business hiring an MOT Technician in Swindon. You will complete MOTs on customer vehicles, perform light and full-service work, and support the DVSA process.

The client will fund Level 3 IMI and Hybrid qualifications and provide extensive training, career progression, and staff benefits. Shift: 08:30–17:30, Mon–Fri, Saturdays on rota (08:30–16:00) with a day off in the week.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician required.
• MOT Tester experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completing MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Light and full-service work.
• Fast fit duties as and when required.
• Work with workshop to achieve targets.
• Ensure DVSA process is followed and communicated with other departments.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Swindon.

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Swindon

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence – Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
