Job summary

Our client in Newport is seeking an MOT Technician to carry out MOT testing on customer vehicles and perform light repair work. No formal qualifications required, as the client will support through Level 3 qualifications (IMI & Hybrid).

Role based at Newport centre with 08:30–17:30 Mon–Fri and Saturday on rota 08:30–16:00. Benefits include extensive training, career development, staff discounts, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (no formal qualifications required).
• Experience as an MOT Tester.
• A valid MOT licence – Essential.
• Passion for automotive industry and willingness to develop further.
• Willingness to learn about Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Perform light and full-service work.
• Carry out fast-fit duties as required.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues to hit targets.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Newport.

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Newport

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.
