Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in Maidstone is seeking an MOT Technician to join a growing fast-fit automotive network. You will complete MOTs on customer vehicles and perform light and full-service work, contributing to a busy workshop.

No formal qualification needed initially; the employer will fund Level 3 IMI & Hybrid training, with ongoing development and staff discounts, life insurance and a wide range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician – no formal qualifications needed.
• Experience as an MOT Tester.
• A valid MOT licence – Essential.
• Passion for the automotive industry and a desire to develop further.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.

• Fast fit duties when required.
• Collaborate with workshop to achieve targets.
• Coordinate with Service, Parts and other centre departments.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Maidstone

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Maidstone

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Working with other centre departments (Service, Parts, etc) and ensuring that they are well informed
• Ensure the correct DVSA process is followed

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence – Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
