Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for a busy Maidstone dealership workshop. You will perform servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards, carry out MOT testing and diagnostics, and work closely with service advisors to maintain workflow.

The role requires Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a current MOT Tester Licence, full UK driving licence, and the ability to work 44.5 hours per week with Saturdays on a 1-in-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Current MOT Tester Licence is essential.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester.
• Strong servicing/diagnostics and mechanical repair experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs accurately.
• Inspect components for wear, damage and replacement requirements.
• Carry out MOT testing in line with current standards.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to maintain workflow.
• Meet workshop efficiency targets without compromising quality.
• Support other Technicians and contribute to a productive workshop environment.

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Maidstone

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Maidstone. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, hold a current MOT Tester Licence, have strong workshop experience, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

Location: Maidstone

Salary: £35,000+ basic depending on experience + bonus, OTE: £60,000, uncapped

Welcome Bonus: £2,500 for eligible Level 3 qualified Technicians

Hours: 44.5 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays
