Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an MOT Technician for a fast-fit automotive centre in Ashbourne. You will conduct MOTs on customer vehicles and perform light and full-service work, contributing to a busy workshop alongside service and parts teams.

Ideal candidates hold a valid MOT licence with experience as a Vehicle Technician. Employers offer progression and development through Level 3 IMI/Hybrid qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid UK driving licence.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred.
• Experience as an MOT Tester advantageous.
• Willing to be sponsored for Level 3 IMI/Hybrid qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Perform light and full-service work as required.
• Carry out fast fit duties and assist workshop targets.
• Coordinate with Service/Parts and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure DVSA processes are followed correctly.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Ashbourne.

As an MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Ashbourne

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Responsibilities

• Completing MOTs on customer vehicles
• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties as and when required
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Working with other centre departments (Service, Parts, etc) and ensuring that they are well informed
• Ensure the correct DVSA process is followed

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence – Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
