Money Advice Caseworker

Position Details

• Type: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)
• Salary: £27,235 - £29,833 per annum
• Location: Home-based with visits to customers in South Devon and Exeter areas (must be able to travel at short notice)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced individual to provide money advice to clients at risk of homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debt solutions and the welfare benefits system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparing accurate financial statements and offering budgeting advice
2. Progressing debt options and advising on court proceedings related to debt recovery and repossessions
3. Income maximisation through benefits uptake, including backdating, overpayment, sanctions challenges, appeals, and representation if necessary
4. Empowering clients by simplifying complex financial information and working independently

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in providing money advice, particularly to vulnerable clients
