Money Advice Caseworker

Position Details

• Type: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)
• Salary: GBP27,235 - GBP29,833 per annum
• Location: Home-based with visits to customers in the South Devon and Exeter areas; ability to travel at short notice is required

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced individual to provide money advice to clients at risk of homelessness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of debt solutions and the welfare benefits system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparing accurate financial statements for clients
2. Offering budgeting advice and debt management options
3. Advising on court proceedings related to debt recovery and repossessions
4. Income maximisation through benefits uptake, including backdating, overpayment, and sanction challenges
5. Representing clients in appeals and other proceedings as needed
