Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group in West Yorkshire is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a shift, ensure resources and training, and keep production on track.

You will work with engineering and the Production Manager to solve problems, monitor safety, quality and downtime, organise people and resources, and provide practical support on machinery.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role offering a competitive salary and clear development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading people in a manufacturing environment.
• A practical approach to planning, problem-solving and keeping production moving.
• A good understanding of health and safety and quality standards.
• Confidence using production data to spot issues and improve performance.
• The ability to communicate well across shifts and support operators on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Organising people and resources to meet production requirements
• Leading shift meetings and ensuring clear handovers
• Tracking production and downtime data with accurate reporting
• Training operators and ensuring adherence to manufacturing and quality procedures
• Carrying out safety and compliance checks and escalating concerns
• Collaborating with Engineering and the Production Manager to solve problems and improve performance
• Providing practical support on machinery when required
