Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking a Vehicle Conversion Technician to develop and install specialist mobility equipment across a range of vehicles, working closely with the design team to validate new conversion kits.

You will survey vehicles, capture data, fabricate components and install systems with a practical, problem-solving mindset, reading drawings and using hand or power tools while delivering clear documentation and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD useful but not essential).
• Knowledge of vehicle construction, components and functionality.
• Practical, logical approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and Microsoft Office skills.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits.
• Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture.
• Check, maintain and validate engineering data.
• Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment.
• Produce clear technical documentation and installation information.
• Support parts, kit and development activities.
