Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Conversion Technician for its warm and growing aftersales workshop in Oxfordshire. You will join a friendly team and help keep customer vehicles ready for their next adventure, with a varied role spanning habitation checks, diagnostics, servicing and installation of campervan accessories.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, a £32,000 annual salary plus bonus, 30 days leave including bank holidays, and on-site parking in a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a vehicle/automotive technician or workshop environment.
• Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Hands-on problem solving.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out habitation checks on campervan conversions.
• Diagnose faults and carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Install a variety of campervan accessories and equipment.
• Maintain high standard of workmanship with focus on quality and detail.
• Complete job sheets, paperwork and compliance records accurately.
• Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
• Keep the workshop clean, safe and well organised.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Support the wider aftersales team when required.

What will you be doing?

As a Conversion Technician, youll play an important role in keeping our customers vehicles safe, reliable and ready for the road.

Your day:to:day work will include:

• Carrying out habitation checks on campervan conversions.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Installing a variety of campervan accessories and equipment .
• Carrying out work to a consistently high standard, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Completing job sheets, paperwork and compliance records accurately.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe and well organised.
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Taking a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Supporting the wider aftersales team whenever required.

Ideally, Youll Bring

• Previous experience in a vehicle/automotive technician or workshop environment.
• Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A practical, hands:on approach to problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• The ability to work independently while also being a great team player.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to complete paperwork accurately.
• A professional and positive approach to colleagues and customers.
• A genuine interest in developing your skills and knowledge.

Campervan, habitation, electrical or accessory installation experience would be advantageous, but were happy to consider candidates with transferable automotive skills.
