Job summary
Probe UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Vehicle Conversion Technician to develop and install specialist mobility equipment across a range of vehicles. You will combine vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication and installation, working closely with the design team to validate new conversion kits.
A practical, mechanically minded problem solver who can read technical drawings and use hand and power tools will thrive in this fast-moving manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD useful).
- Knowledge of vehicle construction and components.
- Logical, practical approach to problem solving and working independently.
- Good communication and MS Office skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits.
- Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture.
- Check, maintain and validate engineering data.
- Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment.
- Produce clear technical documentation and installation information.
- Support parts, kit and development activities.
