Job summary

Probe UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Vehicle Conversion Technician to develop and install specialist mobility equipment across a range of vehicles. You will combine vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication and installation, working closely with the design team to validate new conversion kits.

A practical, mechanically minded problem solver who can read technical drawings and use hand and power tools will thrive in this fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD useful).
• Knowledge of vehicle construction and components.
• Logical, practical approach to problem solving and working independently.
• Good communication and MS Office skills.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits.
• Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture.
• Check, maintain and validate engineering data.
• Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment.
• Produce clear technical documentation and installation information.
• Support parts, kit and development activities.
