Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Milton Keynes cluster. This role is for planned, pre-booked work, on driveways or car parks, with no emergency callouts. You’ll use a digital schedule to complete diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs.

You’ll need NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, 5+ years as a Technician, and a full UK driving licence. The role offers 40 hours a week, Monday–Saturday, a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
