Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Oldham area. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule, perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at members’ homes or workplaces with supported diagnostics and RAC standards.

You will be part of a structured, mobile team delivering quality service with a clear schedule and career development opportunities. The role offers a strong salary and a pathway to progression within the RAC.

Qualifications

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
