Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You’ll operate on planned, pre-booked appointments across the Luton cluster, with no reactive callouts.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, advanced diagnostics, and a clear development pathway within a national motoring services team. The role offers a base salary of £45,370 (London weighting where applicable) with on-target earnings up to £57,000, plus overtime options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations following inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
