RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs with a fully equipped RAC van across the Harlow cluster, covering nearby towns.

The role focuses on planned maintenance and diagnostics rather than roadside callouts. You’ll follow a structured development path, with overtime options and a base salary of £40,170, potentially rising to £52,000 with bonuses and premium overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence

Responsabilités

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
