Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. The role offers a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime and opportunities for additional overtime and bonuses.

40 hours weekly with core hours 8:30am–5:00pm and one Saturday in four, across the East Midlands including Burton, Derby, Leicester, Loughborough, Market Harborough and Northampton. You’ll operate pre-booked jobs with all tools and diagnostics provided, delivering planned work

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• Complete in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
