Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You will perform pre-booked, on-site servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment, delivering quality repairs with time, tools and support provided.

Based in the Bristol cluster, your 40-hour week includes core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Earn a base of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000 and optional overtime after probation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in vehicle maintenance.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Pre-booked, organised appointments with no reactive callouts.
