Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the UK. You’ll travel in a fully equipped RAC van, performing planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs at customers’ driveways or workplaces, with professional support from a national team.

Core hours are 8:30–17:00, 40 hours per week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. The base salary is £45,378 with OTE up to £57,000, plus guaranteed overtime and a strong benefits package including pension, health support, and employee

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
