Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll work a fully planned schedule with pre-booked jobs, not emergency calls, and use advanced mobile diagnostics to service, diagnose, and repair; up to date safety checks and customer advice are core.

A 40-hour week (Mon-Sat with core 8:30-5) and overtime options drive earnings and work-life balance. Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in light vehicle maintenance or 5+ years as aVehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs with mobile equipment.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
