Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the Bridgwater area. The role offers a competitive base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000 and guaranteed overtime.

You will operate on a fixed schedule with 40 hours per week, a Monday–Saturday pattern, and a fully equipped RAC van for on-site diagnostics and repairs. You'll work on pre-booked appointments across your local area, focusing on servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with guidance and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience required as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing on vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
