Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division covering the Bridgwater area. You’ll perform pre-booked servicing, diagnostics and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van, on a structured schedule designed for quality work.

You’ll earn a base of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, 40 hours weekly, and overtime/bonus opportunities, plus pension and holiday benefits as part of a national service team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
