Job summary

RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a mobile role covering the Northampton cluster. You will work on pre-booked jobs, servicing and repairs at members' locations with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

You'll follow a structured development pathway, with overtime options, a 40-hour week, and potential earnings up to £52,000. The role emphasises planning, independence and delivering high-quality service while upholding RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
