Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in Huddersfield. You will operate on a clearly planned schedule across the Leeds cluster, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at driveways or car parks with RAC support.

You’ll work independently within a national organisation, advancing EV and diagnostic skills while enjoying a structured workload, equipment provided, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• You are comfortable working on driveways and in car parks, speaking directly with members, and providing reassurance and high-quality service.
• Independent, problem-solving oriented and adaptable, able to handle servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs.
