Job summary

RAC Motoring Services (SMR division) is hiring mobile technicians in the Leeds cluster area. You will service pre-booked appointments, perform diagnostics with mobile equipment, and complete in-depth repairs at client locations, not roadside calls.

You’ll enjoy independence with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostics. The role emphasizes planned work, customer-facing service, and safety, with a path to EV/d Diagnostic skill development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and inspections.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
