Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR mobile service team in the UK, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members’ driveways and workplaces. You’ll operate from a pre‑booked schedule with the tools, van, and diagnostics provided, maintaining RAC safety and quality standards.

You’ll perform diagnostics, routine servicing, in‑depth repairs, and member guidance, supported by a national organisation with ongoing development opportunities including EV/dx skill growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
