Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs at member locations with a fully equipped RAC van and support.

We offer a competitive base salary (£40,170) with on-target earnings up to (£52,000), guaranteed overtime, and a 40-hour week plus some Saturdays. You’ll receive training, a fuel card, and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
• Work through a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs
