Job summary

RAC in the UK is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll perform planned servicing, diagnostics and in‑depth repairs at customers’ locations, with a fully equipped RAC van and support from the team.

Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or have 5+ years as a Technician, plus a full UK driving licence. The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000 and structured overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years experience in vehicle maintenance or 5+ years as a Technician.
• Full UK driving licence with ≤6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
