Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division. You will be working on a pre-booked schedule across Maidstone and surrounding areas, delivering planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs with a fully equipped RAC van.

You’ll operate in a non-emergency, high-structure environment with on‑site support, a strong tools set, and opportunities to advance in diagnostics and EV readiness. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician (light vehicles).
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
