Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform planned, on-site servicing and diagnostics across Esher cluster, with a fully equipped RAC van and tools provided. Expect scheduled appointments, not emergency callouts, and a focus on driving quality repairs with safety checks.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with 8:30am–5:00pm core hours and one in four Saturdays, earning a base of £45,378 with OTE up to £57,000 and overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
