Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs on-site at members’ homes or workplaces.

Work is pre-booked with a clear digital schedule, avoiding emergency callouts, to deliver high-quality service. The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime, pension, life assurance, and a range of employee perks.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Proven repair and servicing skills on light vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and inspections.
• Carry out diagnostics and in-depth repairs on mobile jobs.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Complete vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
• Work from a clearly planned, pre-booked schedule.
