Job summary

RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division. You will perform pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on customer vehicles at their premises, not emergency callouts.

You’ll work a structured schedule with a fully equipped RAC van, tools, and support to deliver high-quality repairs. This is a full-time mobile role in the UK, offering a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, overtime options, and a 40-hour week with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
