Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, covering local areas with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced Diagnostics. The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime and bonus opportunities.

You’ll work 40 hours weekly, with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays. Overtime rest days can be earned at £30/hour after the first month, with pension, life assurance and other

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-booked servicing, diagnostics and repairs to RAC standards.
• Perform routine servicing and in‑depth repairs using mobile equipment.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspections.

5+ years experience as Vehicle Tech/Me

Full UK driving licence
